Slivers

Many of you probably do not know what slivers are and what they can be used in your garden. Here is the answer. Slivers are pieces of wood, sized from several millimeters to several centimeters; they are a by-product of processing the wood using slivering machines. Depending on the quality of wood, its class and sizes the slivers can be used in producing chipboards, fiberboard, cellulose, for extraction of resin and tannins; slivers can also be used in producing alloys of iron. Like pellets, slivers are used as heating fuel. They are also used in gardening.
